Salt Lake Valley
JupiDoor in West Jordan
West Jordan runs from the west bank of the Jordan River to the lower slopes of the Oquirrh Mountains in the southwest Salt Lake Valley. Pioneer Archibald Gardner built a sawmill here in 1850, and his restored mills and houses are now Gardner Village. Housing generally gets newer moving west, from older homes near the river and Redwood Road to subdivisions and townhomes in Welby, Copper Hills and Jordan Hills near the Mountain View Corridor. Mountain America Credit Union is headquartered here, and Jordan Valley Medical Center is a major local employer.
West Jordan sits in Salt Lake County, where homes are listed on the UtahRealEstate MLS, one of the four Utah MLSs JupiDoor lists on. Whichever side of the deal you are on, you work with the same licensed Utah brokerage and the same flat rate.

Neighborhoods
Where people buy in West Jordan
Gardner Village and the Jordan River
The east side near 7800 South, Gardner Village and the Jordan River Parkway is the city's oldest area, with ramblers, split-levels and some larger lots that predate the suburban boom. Buyers like the river trail, the Historic Gardner TRAX station and quick access to Redwood Road.
Jordan Landing
Around the Jordan Landing retail and office district by Bangerter Highway, housing leans toward townhomes, condos and apartments alongside single-family streets. First-time buyers and downsizers look here for shopping and restaurants within a short drive and for easy Bangerter access.
City Center and Sugar Factory Road
Near City Hall on Redwood Road and the West Jordan City Center and 2700 W Sugar Factory Rd TRAX stations, older single-family homes sit near newer townhomes and apartments. Commuters who want to walk or bike to light rail rather than drive to a park-and-ride focus on this area.
Copper Hills
Copper Hills sits on the lower slopes of the Oquirrh Mountains on the west side and shares its name with Copper Hills High School. It is mostly single-family subdivisions with basements and fenced yards, and higher streets get valley views. Move-up buyers make up much of the market.
Welby and Jordan Hills
These western neighborhoods fill the land between Copper Hills and the Mountain View Corridor with some of the city's newest subdivisions and townhomes. Buyers choose them for newer construction and for the Old Bingham Highway TRAX stations and the Mountain View Corridor for commuting.

Compare the tiersThe same three tiers apply everywhere we work in Utah, West Jordan included.
Flat rate vs percentage
What a flat rate changes in West Jordan
A traditional listing agent is paid a percentage of whatever your home sells for, so the fee climbs with the sale price even though the work does not. JupiDoor charges one flat rate for the listing side instead. You pick the tier, the price is fixed before the sign goes in the ground, and it is paid at closing.
That is the whole of the difference. The listing, the photography, the negotiation and the paperwork are the same work a percentage-based agent does — what changes is the number on the settlement statement.
Hypothetical example
On a $500,000 sale, a 3% listing-side commission is $15,000. These are illustrative figures, not West Jordan market data — put your own number in and the arithmetic works the same way.
- 3% listing-side commission
- $15,000
- JupiDoor Seller-Managed
- $1,150
- JupiDoor Virtual Agent
- $3,000
- JupiDoor In-Person Agent
- $4,500
The buyer’s agent commission is separate and is yours to decide. JupiDoor’s flat rate covers the listing side only.

FAQ
West Jordan questions
- Most of West Jordan lies within the Jordan School District. The city has two traditional high schools, West Jordan High School and Copper Hills High School, and each feeds from its own set of junior highs and elementary schools. Salt Lake Community College also has its Jordan Campus in the city, next to the Jordan Valley TRAX station and Jordan Valley Medical Center. Because boundaries shift as new schools open in the fast-growing southwest valley, confirm the assigned schools for a specific address with the district.
- Yes. The TRAX Red Line, which opened through West Jordan in 2011, has six stations in the city: Historic Gardner just south of Gardner Village, West Jordan City Center, 2700 W Sugar Factory Rd, Jordan Valley by the hospital and SLCC campus, and two stops on Old Bingham Highway at 4800 West and 5600 West. The line runs northeast toward the University of Utah and southwest to Daybreak in South Jordan. UTA buses cover the rest of the city, and Bangerter Highway, Redwood Road and the Mountain View Corridor carry most drivers.
- Long-term rentals are allowed but require a city business license. Landlords who complete the Good Landlord program get a discounted fee, and the program requires a four-hour course, written leases, tenant screening and at least one off-street parking space per unit. Utah law also requires cities to allow internal accessory units like basement apartments in single-family homes. West Jordan has approved short-term rentals too; operators need a business license, must register with the city and must notify neighbors in writing. Code Enforcement handles questions and complaints.
- West Jordan homes are listed on the UtahRealEstate MLS. In Utah, JupiDoor lists on the UtahRealEstate MLS, Park City MLS, Iron County MLS and Washington County MLS, so your home goes on the one that covers your area, and from there to Zillow, Realtor.com and local broker websites.
- JupiDoor charges a flat rate for the listing side rather than a percentage of your sale price. There are three tiers — Seller-Managed at $1,150, Virtual Agent at $3,000, In-Person Agent at $4,500 — so the listing side costs $1,150 to $4,500 depending on how much of the work you want handled for you. It is paid at closing, with no upfront cost. A buyer's agent commission, if you choose to offer one, is separate and is yours to set.
- The service is the same: pricing, listing, marketing, negotiation and transaction support from listing through closing. What changes is the bill. A traditional listing agent is paid a percentage of the sale price, so the fee grows with the value of the home. JupiDoor is a flat rate brokerage, not a discount or MLS-only service, so you get full representation at a price fixed before your home goes on the market.
- Yes, with the same full-service representation: touring homes, writing the offer, negotiating and closing. Utah only. You get 1% of the purchase price back when the seller offers a 3% buyer-agent commission. We keep a 2% minimum, so there is no cash back when the commission we receive is 2% or less. No minimum purchase price and no maximum rebate. Paid as a closing credit, a check, or a commission adjustment.
