Salt Lake Valley
Taylorsville sits in the middle of the Salt Lake Valley, running from the Jordan River west to 4000 West, with I-215 and Bangerter Highway on hand. Joseph Harker built the first log cabin by the river in 1848, but the historic communities of Taylorsville and Bennion only became one city on July 1, 1996, after residents voted to incorporate. The area's population roughly tripled during the 1980s, and the city is now largely built out, so most homes are established single-family houses rather than new construction. Salt Lake Community College's main campus sits on Redwood Road.
Taylorsville sits in Salt Lake County, where homes are listed on the UtahRealEstate MLS, one of the four Utah MLSs JupiDoor lists on. Whichever side of the deal you are on, you work with the same licensed Utah brokerage and the same flat rate.

Neighborhoods
Bennion was a separate community, named for the Bennion brothers who were among the area's early settlers, until it incorporated with Taylorsville in 1996. The name lives on in Bennion Junior High and the Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District. Its streets are mostly single-family homes, and families looking for a basement and a fenced yard make up much of the market.
Redwood Road has been the main road on the west side of the valley since 1895. In Taylorsville it passes Salt Lake Community College's Taylorsville Redwood Campus, the college's main campus, at 4600 South, and Taylorsville High at 5225 South, and the 5400 South intersection grew into a regional shopping hub in the 1980s. Homes near the corridor suit buyers who want stores, the college and bus routes close by.
The city's east edge follows the Jordan River, where Millrace Park has a community fishing pond, a fenced off-leash dog park and a connection to the Jordan River Parkway trail. Homes on this side draw buyers who want the river trail close by and a quick drive to I-215 and the east side of the valley.
Toward the 4000 West line with Kearns, the west side has the city's largest parks, including Valley Regional Park at 5100 South and 2700 West and Southridge Park with its ball fields and courts. The streets are mostly single-family homes, and buyers here like being a short drive from Bangerter Highway.
Pricing
Three full-service tiers, all of them a fixed price rather than a share of your sale. Pick how much of the work you want to hand over.
You run the showings

We run it remotely
Full-service representation handled virtually, with professional photography and negotiation.
We run it in person
The full agent experience, including in-person analysis, showings and open houses.
Paid at closing. No upfront cost.
Compare the tiersThe same three tiers apply everywhere we work in Utah, Taylorsville included.
Flat rate vs percentage
A traditional listing agent is paid a percentage of whatever your home sells for, so the fee climbs with the sale price even though the work does not. JupiDoor charges one flat rate for the listing side instead. You pick the tier, the price is fixed before the sign goes in the ground, and it is paid at closing.
That is the whole of the difference. The listing, the photography, the negotiation and the paperwork are the same work a percentage-based agent does — what changes is the number on the settlement statement.
Hypothetical example
On a $500,000 sale, a 3% listing-side commission is $15,000. These are illustrative figures, not Taylorsville market data — put your own number in and the arithmetic works the same way.
The buyer’s agent commission is separate and is yours to decide. JupiDoor’s flat rate covers the listing side only.
The process
The same five steps every sale runs through, whichever tier you choose.
Understand the different services out there so you can decide what realtor will fit your needs best.
Understanding your home value will give you the foundation of your overall plan to help budget and plan for your future.
Clean and declutter your home to help advertise it to potential buyers. Buyers have said that photos are the most important thing when determining on seeing a home or not.
Be prepared to have your home shown a number of times before you find your buyer. Once you find your buyer and accept your offer, you’re on your way to the finish line.
The buyer will do some home inspections and an appraisal before closing. This part of the process takes about 30 days before you close.
